With characteristic wit and erudition, Rory Sutherland will share his views on the changing media landscape, exploring the public’s perception of news providers and advertisers in 2018 versus other communication channels, including social media, peer-to-peer sites, bloggers, vloggers and more.  Asking whether the rise of ‘Fake News’ has changed the way consumers view marketers and the media, as well as exploring the use of nudge marketing – which manipulates how choices are presented to consumers – the session will explore trust transition more broadly and whether the intricate breadth of information available to consumers will lead to a resurgence in consumers placing their faith in traditional media.
