Sofia Natal

Global Experience Transformation Expert, IBM iX

Sofia Natal is a modern marketing advocate with 15 years’ experience in Digital & CRM. Industry-agnostic, with a strong background in CPG, Sofia is a leader in the Global Center of Competence for Customer Experience at IBM’s cool younger sister: IBM iX.  IBM iX is a global professional services organisation that helps clients reinvent their business by design.
 
Before joining IBM, Sofia held several roles in an international agency group. She led Client Services in Portugal until 2011, when she was appointed local Head of Strategy & Consulting. In 2013 she took on a wider mission for the Group in EMEA, based in London, driving the implementation of the customer experience agenda across markets, as well as being global training leader.
 
In 2016 she also took a six month interim role as Managing Director of the Portuguese office, preparing the ground for a new leadership team. Sofia became highly recognised both for her ability to build strong customer-led brand narratives and customer value oriented business propositions, but also for her natural ability to engage and energise different stakeholders on the Digital Transformation agenda.
 
Taking the customer to the boardroom is her mission – paving the way for a competitive advantage through customer experience in the age of disruption, marrying creativity and humanity with the world of data and machines.
